Please Read: STAYING SAFE ON THE LAKE

Enjoy the great summer weather on the lake SAFELY!  Please review the following important information:

(1) Please remember that New York State boating laws apply on Tennanah Lake and should be reviewed by all (especially guests and new comers).  They can be found at the following link:  NYS Boaters Guide.

(2) Also see a set of guidelines the TLTA has developed over the years to encourage safe, practical and respectful norms on the lake:  Guidelines for Safe Lake Use and Personal Watercraft Top 10

State laws have changed in recent years and require certain boater safety course requirements.  Please check the NYS Boater’s Guide and your Insurance Carrier for details.

Please review these with your family and guests before going out on the water for your safety and the safety of everyone out on the water.

1st Annual TLTA Fall Food Drive

As Fall approaches and some of us close up our homes for the winter, inevitably there are food items that don’t get used up. Instead of taking these back to your winter home, we’d like to suggest, as a neighborly gesture to needy families, that you donate them to a local food bank, such as The Roscoe Shepherd Food Pantry.

To make this easier, Mari Langer has volunteered to let you drop off food at her house – 58 Smith Lake Road (the 4th house on the right as you come from the County road) – anytime until Sunday, October 25th. After that, Mari will arrange for donations to be picked up by RSFP.

Please make sure to only include food items that are:

•       Non-perishable
•       In their original, unopened packaging
•       Current (not expired)

Thank you in advance for considering this option.
